As some of you know, besides being a part time WC, I work full time for a local Police Dept here in Orlando. As a member of our Department's ERT (Emergency Response Team) we have been to many man-made and natural disasters to assist other Agency's who need our assistance.

In this case we will be responding to Hancock County MS which is on the LA - MS border to assist there Department. We will be on site for a minimum of 2 weeks. The information we are getting out of the area is one of complete devistation. We will be relieving the Deputies/Dispatchers taking over there normal duties. It is my understanding that all personnel from that Dept have lost there homes and are currently living and sleeping out of there patrol cars.

I wanted to extend this offer to anyone on this Board. As you all know contact with all of our family and friends in the area has been nil. I will have access to areas that most will not. I will DO MY BEST to contact anyone's family/friends from this board to relay messages. I will be taking a laptop with an aircard, but as you know there are no guarantees it will work once in the area.

Members of MWCoA, please keep your thoughts and prayers with those whose lives have been effected by this terrible disaster.

On Saturday Feb 18th, heading for Houma, LA for one week to do volunteer work.
I used to do general contracting and they need help putting some roofs back on.
